I am a third year doctoral student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a La SCALA Scholar funded by the Institute of the Museum and Library Services (IMLS). My research interests include STEM and marginalized communities in LIS. I recently taught a course on Race, Gender, and Information technology and found some interesting articles and videos on the topic; however, we NEED more! I feel grateful to be at UTK, enjoyed my earlier studies as a Knowledge River Scholar at University of Arizona, and would like to thank IMLS. Also, happy to be at my first ALISE conference!
